Simplified KHZG implementation: m.Doc starts test phase of its new Smart Health Academy

Cologne, June 9, 2021. m.Doc is expanding its services. With the new Smart Health Academy, the Cologne-based digital healthcare pioneer offers its customers a whole new approach to knowledge and qualification for the workforce. The focus is on simplified implementation of KHZG-eligible solutions as well as faster onboarding of employees and thus greater acceptance of new, digital healthcare applications.

The success of digital solutions in practice stands and falls with their acceptance by the workforce. The digital healthcare pioneer m.Doc has been able to observe this experience often enough in the five years since its founding and now offers customers an exclusive solution with the new Smart Health Academy: The digital learning platform will efficiently support facilities, clinics and medical practices from now on in using the diverse possibilities offered by the m.Doc modules profitably. The buzzword is employee empowerment.

“Our digital services are multi-layered, built with numerous configuration options and interfaces – depending on the customer’s digital ecosystem. That’s why handling knowledge, documenting it and passing it on to new team members are particularly important for the successful implementation of digital solutions,” says Axel Müller, M.D., Chief Product Officer at m.Doc, emphasizing the importance of the m.Doc Smart Health Academy.

And the timing couldn’t be better, because with the KHZG, m.Doc is also facing exponential customer growth, which simply requires some standardization in implementation and training of existing and new customers. “The information and knowledge chain we have built internally is perfectly continued into the external rollout and support process with the Smart Health Academy. This gives us a very good tool to manage our growth and at the same time to transport the necessary know-how to the customer on a broad scale,” emphasizes Chief Operating Officer Nikhil Narikkodan.

Internal test phase already underway
The first modules of the m.Doc Smart Health Academy are already in an internal test phase. In parallel, customer-specific learning and qualification units are being set up so that, for example, the staff in a clinic can use the Smart Health Academy to make themselves fit to handle their new digital patient portal. Above all, this facilitates the digital transformation in the hospitals that has now been initiated by the KHZG. After all, time pressure is great and the faster colleagues can use the m.Doc Smart Clinic with all its facets internally, the greater the efficiency gain for all involved.

The m.Doc Smart Health Academy relies on learning packages that can be configured in different ways for basic users, professionals and administrators, so that the introduction of the patient portal can be planned and supported with precision and progress monitored closely. In the next expansion phase of the Academy, additional offerings from various partners will be integrated and training courses will be set up with university partners and training institutions.

The extended test phase with m.Doc customers is planned for the fourth quarter of 2021. From January 2022, the Smart Health Academy will be available for m.Doc customers to ensure, among other things, the rollout of the patient portal as part of the KHZG.
