Smart Health Academy: m.Doc cooperates in e-learning business with TUTOOLIO

Cologne, Germany, June 7, 2022 – E-learning offerings have been part of the training and continuing education program of German hospitals not only since the Corona pandemic. Many providers have long since recognized that in the environment of clinical professions, flexible and location-independent learning formats are just as much a help in the onboarding of new employees as they are in regular continuing education and quality management in general. Challenges such as digitization and cost pressure underscore this role and at the same time call for learning formats of their own.

m.Doc is cooperating with the Bonn-based e-learning specialist TUTOOLIO. Together, the aim is to take digital training and continuing education in the German-speaking healthcare sector to a new level. To this end, the Cologne-based digital healthcare pioneer is introducing its “m.Doc Smart Health Academy” powered by TUTOOLIO. The centerpiece is currently the digital learning support for the m.Doc Smart Health Platform with the Smart Clinic patient portal. The Cologne-based company is the market leader in this area and aims to provide active and practical support to clinics, the medical profession and nursing staff in the introduction of the Smart Clinic. In addition, the Smart Health Academy offers numerous other eLearning courses for administration, medicine, nursing and therapy from the TUTOOLIO pool. TUTOOLIO also supplies its Learning Management System (LMS) as the technological basis of the learning platform.

“I keep emphasizing it: digitization is not an end in itself and new solutions are only ever meaningful if they are also used – and this is precisely where clinics need support in the form of suitable learning offerings. We are very pleased to have TUTOOLIO at our side as a partner who is just as aware as we are of the content-related technical responsibility of imparting knowledge in administration, nursing, medicine and therapy,” says Admir Kulin, Managing Director of m.Doc GmbH, explaining the background to the new cooperation.

For this reason, the Smart Health Academy, together with TUTOOLIO, will offer its users a wide range of advanced training courses on its own learning platform via an integrated industry library, as well as numerous content offerings. The goal is to establish a lasting and lively connection to hospital employees and thus to find easier access to them in the area of digitalization for future challenges.

Stefan Deges, Managing Director of TUTOOLIO GmbH: “We are delighted about this extremely meaningful and ambitious cooperation. An economic sector in which the know-how of employees is a matter of life and death must necessarily place the highest demands on knowledge transfer. Learning opportunities must also be interlinked in terms of content and be easily accessible to staff. The need for learning itself will again increase significantly under the pressure of the Hospital Future Act, also with regard to digitalization. It is precisely this development that we can now push together with m.Doc and the Smart Health Academy.”

The offering, which will be marketed under the “Smart Health Academy” brand, will in future bring together under one roof various blended learning offerings in the area of digitization from m.Doc and its partners, as well as the comprehensive offering from eLearning provider TUTOOLIO. Employees of m.Doc customers will have access to courses offered by the Academy. In addition, institutions that want to organize internal knowledge management in their own LMS can have an LMS client activated in their own corporate design. The content offered by the “m.Doc Smart Health Academy” powered by TUTOOLIO will then also be available there.

Felix Dorn, who is responsible for the Smart Health Academy, comments: “In the future, we will use the m.Doc partner ecosystem to bring a wide range of digital and health literacy offerings onto the shared learning platform. This includes not only eLearnings from digital companies, but also cross-thematic offerings from institutes and universities that are currently making a name for themselves in the field of digital preventive care. We plan to launch an unparalleled blended learning offering in just a few months, which will also include eLearning.”
