Cologne, Germany, January 19, 2023 – Hospital stays will soon be more digital for patients in the Hannover region. KRH Klinikum Region Hannover has opted for the patient portal of the German market leader m.Doc. Now, together with the KRH’s clinical experts and m.Doc’s digitization specialists, the Smart Clinic is being implemented.
The decisive factor for winning the tender was above all the innovative aspects of the complete solution, which includes admission, treatment and discharge management, Barbara Schulte, KRH Managing Director Finance and Infrastructure, reports: “With the introduction of the m.Doc Smart Clinic, we are taking another big step as part of our digitization strategy.” “We were convinced by the patient portal with its intuitive operation, great flexibility and successful combination of information and entertainment.” Steffen Grebner, Head of Central IT at KRH, summarizes the reasons for the current decision.
Grebner also praises the sophisticated interaction of the 35 different modules and services of the Smart Clinic, which include, for example, making appointments and video consultations. This, he says, is what makes it possible in the first place to map complex interrelationships in the treatment of patients end-to-end and without a break in technology. “Together with m.Doc, we are thus implementing the digital patient portal holistically and are looking forward to working with everyone involved in the project,” says the expert.
And Grebner is not alone in this anticipation. Admir Kulin, Managing Director of m.Doc GmbH, also sees a lot of potential in the joint implementation: “KRH Klinikum Region Hannover is representative of the many regional hospitals in Germany that will play a central role in the healthcare of the future.
