Cologne, Germany, January 11, 2023. m.Doc, the digital healthcare pioneer, is all about growth, and this clear course is to be reflected in the management team with immediate effect. For this reason, Admir Kulin is taking on a new co-managing director in Thomas Simon (49) as of February 1, 2023. As Chief Operating Officer, Simon will be responsible for the operational business, in particular implementation and customer service. After the most successful financial year since the company was founded, the aim is to position the company for the growth that is also expected in the coming years, as the previous sole Managing Director Admir Kulin reports: “As the market leader for patient portals, we have a clear goal: to further expand our market position in this and the following years. To achieve this, excellent delivery of our platform solutions to customers and outstanding customer service are basic prerequisites. I couldn’t ask for a better co-managing director than Thomas to build up this very area.”
And Thomas Simon is also looking forward to the tasks he will be entrusted with at m.Doc with immediate effect: “The success story m.Doc has written to date is impressive. Ultimately, however, the decisive factor for the future of digital healthcare is how satisfied the actual users are with the solutions offered – and here it is important to satisfy administration, the medical and nursing professions, and patients in equal measure. I’m looking forward to this challenge – also because I’ve already had the opportunity to get to know part of the highly motivated team at m.Doc.”
In his more than 20 years of management experience in the healthcare sector, Simon, who holds a degree in business administration, has already been able to prove on several occasions that he is up to such major tasks – including as Managing Director of a social economy association, at Fresenius Medical Care or Kavo Dental GmbH. Most recently, as Senior Vice President Clinical & Social Care at CompuGroup Medical, he was responsible for the clinical, social and laboratory business in Germany and Switzerland. In this role, he has been very successful in expanding his division since 2013. In addition, Simon has played a leading role in numerous merger, acquisition and integration projects.
